About Young Pianist

Young Pianist was founded by Marina Savova in London with the main objective to teach students how to learn, enjoy and appreciate music.

Young Pianist provides the structure for learning to take place, enabling children and students the freedom to think and grow. Students are encouraged to set goals in their music learning whilst experiencing a playful and positive environment. Teachers are chosen for their abilities and passion to teach and inspire students with the love for music.

Marina started to learn the piano at the age of four at the Dobri Hristov School of Music and Arts in Varna. She continued her education at the National Music Academy “Pancho Vladigerov” in Sofia. In 2000 she was accepted to the Royal Academy of Music in London. Marina obtained the Academy Postgraduate Performance Course and the LRAM Diploma in 2002.

Marina has performed at many competitions, concerts and festivals in Europe. She won the Special prize of the Bulgarian National Competition for Contemporary Music, the first prize of the National Competition for Young Accompanist, and the First prize of the Concordia Foundation for English Singers and Speakers with the baritone Rodney Clarke. She performed in venues such as the Purcell Room, Queen Elizabeth Hall, and St John’s Smith Square in London. Many of her concerts have been recorded and broadcasted. With violinist Ivo Stankov she performed numerous concert recitals in the UK and abroad. She was finalist of the Bulgarian Classical Musician of the Year Awards, 2003.
